I just hope Americans can quickly get in fighting form when needed. It's hard to fight when part of the population considers it their 'hallowed duty' to act as human shields in the name of pacifism. It's hard to gear up and go when thousands are calling you 'murderer' simply because they've been brainwashed into equating "Gun + Soldier" with "War and Wrong". That portion of the population which feels it is unpatriotic to defend ourselves, our shores, our borders may be our undoing. But I believe that, for all their braying and protesting, they are indeed just a very vocal minority. Most Americans would answer the call, and work out the politics later.
