The Iraqis call it Liberation Day
And our Soldiers helped topple this cruel and sadistic regime.
They could not have brought this statue down without our help.
When all we hear is how badly things are going in the Middle East, we need to remember how well things have gone.
Surely, whatever your politics, surely you are proud of our American Warriors.
I’m proud of MY American Warrior.

I’m certainly proud of our brave warriors!
However this thing turns out, it will have been worth the effort. Even if we don’t get a democracy in Iraq, we’ll have removed an evil dictator who started two major wars and gassed his own people. Course, we won’t get any credit for it.
Damn straight!
God bless all Gold Star families for their strength and courage in the face of tragedy and loss. I will most certainly not forget everything our troops have done and continue to do to not only keep us safe and free, but release those who have lived in tyranny.
Yes, when we get bad reports we must remember the successes we have already had but we also must realize that each day is a new day of progress. Though each individual day may not be filled with success and triumph, the culmination of these days does show this. It shows a people who have been given a new life, a new hope and a true freedom. Liberated they were on April 9, 2003 and closer to self-sufficiency they are on April 9, 2006.
