I don’t suppose it comes as any great shock to anyone that the coward al-Zarqawi’s cell phone held the evidence that he had been in contact with senior members of Iraq’s new government.
Abu Musab al-Zarqawi had the phone numbers of senior Iraqi officials stored in his cell phone, according to an Iraqi legislator.
Waiel Abdul-Latif, a member of former Prime Minister Ayad Allawi’s party, said Monday that authorities found the numbers after al-Zarqawi, leader of al Qaeda in Iraq, was killed in a U.S. air strike on June 7.
Abdul-Latif did not give names of the officials. But he said they included ministry employees and members of parliament.
He called for an investigation, saying Iraqis “cannot have one hand with the government and another with the terrorists.”
CNN is reporting that al-Zarqawi’s first wife is reporting an elaborate conspiracy that involves complicated agreements between al-Quada, the United States, the Iraq government, etc etc etc to sell-out al-Zarqawi.
However, al-Zarqawi’s family say they haven’t seen or heard from her in a couple of years and her attention grabbing story doesn’t hold up very well.
The coward al-Zarqawi’s brother is complaining that the family didn’t get to bury the pudgy, murdering, perverted, pig-slime, thieving, lying, affete, cowardly terrorist pig in his native country of Jordan. The brother claims ….
“Bush took his body to the United States,” al-Khalayleh told The Associated Press in a telephone interview from his home in the Jordanian city of Zarqa.
Did Bush personally carry him here? I can’t imagine why Bush would want to have done that.
I think it would be really cool if they wrapped him in pig skin and covered him in pig’s blood before the did whatever they did with his remains. But I’m sure they probably didn’t do that.
Here’s the thing. There’s no telling who’s the enemy and who’s on our side over there. As my Beloved Curmudgeon says (fairly often), ‘If their lips are movin’ they’re lying’.
We need all this kind of intelligence we can get our hands on. Glad we got The Coward Pig Zarqawi’s cell phone.
According to Captain’s Quarters:
At least a few Sunni political parties have long been thought to have acted as fronts native insurgencies, and their election to the National Assembly would give them the opportunity to infiltrate the bureaucracy. The Iraqis now have a good idea which of these leaders have connections through Zarqawi to the foreign insurgency, and one can imagine that the Iraqis will not treat such traitors kindly in their current mood. This might also explain why a few Sunni parties suddenly staged a protest walkout when one of their legislators got kidnapped this weekend.
Maybe they’ll take them out and shot them. That surely wouldn’t bother many people.
