Our Warriors:

A Rose by Any Other Name introduces you to Joe Tomci. You really need to go over and see who this wonderful young American Marine was!

Blue Crab Boulevard offers the perspective of an American Officer (his son) on the war in Israel.

chezDiva lets us know about an American Soldier who lost his job for serving his country.

Echo9er has some wonderful images of our Men in Arms.

Toni at Bear Creek Ledger shares an update from Iraq as one Soldier is heading home from his deployment. She also introduces us to CSM Jeff Mellinger.

Planck’s Constant has some ideas about why Israel will win against hezbollah. I suspect the same is true for American Soldiers.

Gawfer takes us on a ride-along with the Blue Angels!

Jack Yoest remembers Staff Sergeant Dan Clay.

AubreyJ takes a moment to honor our fallen.

Military Families

John at Castle Argghhh! has an excellent article on Being a family member of a deployed soldier.

LTC Randolph C. White Jr. delivers the graduation speech for the newest batch of Infantrymen to complete training at Ft. Benning, Georgia, on April 21st, 2006.

War on Terrorism

Jo at Jo’s Cafe has CENTCOM briefs.

Is Saad Bin Laden in Lebanon aiding hezbollah? Find out at Code Red* Women for the Troops.

Tsfas Under Fire Linda at Something …. and Half of Something shares letters from Tsfas. The series of posts are a fascinating glimpse into life in Tsfas Under Fire. More importantly, they are a real glimpse into the courage, hope and beauty that lives in the human spirit even under the most dangerous of circumstances.

Ramsey Clark is planning an ‘emergency march’ to stop Israel.
Wild Thing wonders ‘why am I not surprised?’. It seems that Mr. Clark is protesting the ‘occupations’ of Iraq, Lebanon and Palestine. Mr. Clark advocates pouring more money into Palistine and Lebanon in order to fix the problem of terrorism. [That has certainly been proven to work - read with sarcasm]. It seems the United States and Israel are the source of all the world’s problems. [Same ol' arguments, same ol' accusations]. Wild Thing says that Clark never met a terrorist he didn’t like. HA!

Meanwhile, My Vast Right Wing Conspiracy notes the photoshopping of the War on Terrorism. Hezbollah has been busy, busy working on videos and photoshopping to portray themselves as the victims. As bad as the faked photos are, they unfortunately seem to have an effect in getting the muslim world in an uproar.

Wide Awake Cafe writes about Hillary Criticizes Rumsfeld for “Presiding over a Failed Policy.” She writes:

I have a proposal……..

It would be a breath of fresh air for the troops who are placing their lives on the line in Iraq and Afghanistan for all the leading Democrats in our country to throw their unreserved support behind the war in Iraq. (and Afghanistan)

If the two major political parties in our country displayed a solid front to the world in its support of the war, the strength of that stand would be inspiring and a fearful event for our enemies.

The Median Sib has an idea of how this conflict between Israel and her neighbors plays out. Repeatedly.

Greta of Hooah Wife has a rant on Zionism & Terrorism.
It’s pretty simple really, which side are you on when it matters?

The Right Nation presents Team America 3.

What would you do
If you were asked to give up your dreams for freedom
What would you do
If asked to make the ultimate sacrifice

Iran says no to UN resolution. Assorted Babble of Suzie reports.

She Who Would Be Obeyed says This is War. She is extremely worried. [So am I, Beth]

Red Hot Cuppa Politics

Incidentally, there’s been an under-ripple lately among US liberals who are outraged by the fact that the Iraq war has lasted longer than WW2. That’s because by the end of WW2, we dropped two nuclear bombs in Japan, and flattened Dresden and most of Berlin. During the occupation of Germany, allied forces shot anyone who looked remotely like they were going to resist — with no tribunals, no public outcry, and very little press coverage. This country actually supported the troops in WW2, and the American public understood that victory was critical.

Politics

Not Exactly Rocket Science has a unique - and probably true - take on Mitt Romney’s politically INcorrect comments on the Big Dig in Boston. You’ll find it educational at the very least, and certainly get a chuckle out of reading it.

Centrerion Canadian Politics offers up the Suicide Servers: Quip of the Day. Hezballah TV is … copyright? What’s next from Jihad Marketing Inc.? Suicide servers? He also looks at Israel, “Restraint,” “Proportionality” and “Measured Response”. Blowing up the mainstream media’s moronic myths on “measured response,” and “proportionality.” Israel need not restrain itself!

Miscellaneous

Tanker Brothers’ Rolling Victory Fast 2006 is just around the corner. A Sean Penn/Cindy Shenanigans type fast in support of the troops. ‘Because one Tanker Brother is worth (at least) TEN Sean Penns!’

N2Growth compares the traits of a warrior with the traits needed to be a success in the busines world. The Heart of a Warrior is an excellent piece
