The uproar over the ABC mini-series The Path to 9/11 has been pretty much appalling. Threats to have ABC’s broadcasting license revoked. Acusations of lies and misleading footage by the very same people who gave Michael Moore an award for his blatantly misleading and out-and-out lies in his movies portraying the Bush administration of being guilty of virtually everything bad that’s happened since the fall of the Roman Empire.
Nevermind the frequent mischaracterizations of Bush or Dr. Rice. Nevermind a movie portraying President Reagan as a war mongering baffoon. Nevermind the numerous theatrical portrayals of President Nixon so exagerating the circumstances of his downfall that any good done during his presidensy is completely lost and the exagerations have been accepted as fact by the general public. He really gets a bad rap - if only he’d thought to question the definition of ‘is’.
None of that matters, of course, censorship is only censorship when … well …. when the progressives say it is!
So what is it that there is so much panic and desperation about and such dispicable tactics are employed to try to prevent the American people from seeing?
Nothing that we haven’t heard out of Clinton’s own mouth. In news interviews, television appearances, and documentation from his presidency, Clinton has admitted to all of this many times.
I guess he just doesn’t want the American people reminded of what he has done.
Here’s what they don’t want you to see. You can go there now and see it.

Path to 9/11 and Fahrenheit 911 are not the only inaccurate and misleading docudramas/documentations. The movie United 93 is described as “meticulously researched” and “based on fact”, but there is not any indication that the German passenger Christian Adams was indeed a coward and appeaser and tried to stop the American heroes from storming the cockpit as the movie shows. The Guardian’s film critic writes: “The film United 93 finds old Europe literally standing in the way of US derring-do. The only trouble is, it didn’t happen that way.”
Perhaps you are interested in my take on this in the Atlantic Review: German 9/11 Victim Defamed in “United 93″ Movie. Thanks.
I won’t be watching part two. It’s mostly typical network nonsense.
Good Old Fashioned Dawn Patrol…
I miss the Dawn Patrol from the Mudville Gazette. How ’bout you? Hopefully the Greyhawks are adjusting to life in the US, getting over the stress of moving and maybe getting to the end of unpacking boxes (does that ever end?). In the meantime, I decid…
