A Jeep Cherokee drove at full throttle through security barriers and crashed into the main terminal building of Glasgow, Scotland airport. Witnesses are reporting that the Jeep burst into flames and exploded once it was rammed into the terminal.
The driver and another man jumped out of the Jeep prior to it hitting the terminal. They were wrestled to the ground by police and by-standers and placed under arrest.
This incident just happened and there is still a lot unknown. At this point it is being reported that three men have been arrested. Witnesses are saying they observed officials taking canisters out of the Jeep.
The airport has been closed, flights into and out of Glasgow airport have been suspended and an investigation is underway.

All of the reports are primarily speculation at this point.
UPDATE 12:12 p.m. ET: There were injuries in these attacks this morning. No reports on the number on injuries.
There is some speculation that these attacks are a diversion from a planned larger attack. It does seem to be a low-tech, low-expertise attack. It makes sense they are trying to create a diversion or it’s the Terrorists That Can’t Shoot Straight Gang.
UPDATE 1:00 p.m. ET: Scottish officials are now reporting that this is a ‘terrorist event’.
UPDATE 1:11 p.m. ET: Eye witnesses are saying the two men jumped out of the car and started pouring petrol (gasoline) on the car. In the process, one of the terrorist became engulfed in flames. The car was on fire as it drove into the terminal and appeared to attempt to crash through glass doors at the entrance to the building.
The size of the fire shown in the photos that are coming out appears much larger than one would expect from a car on fire hitting the building. It certainly LOOKS like there was an explosion.
UPDATE 1:14 p.m. ET: The United States announces it is immediately putting into place an increase in security at airports around the country. This security will stay in place through the holiday week. There is not an increase in the terrorist threat level for the United States at this time.
UPDATE 1:45 p.m. ET: British Prime Minister Browne has called an emergency meeting of the British Cobra Group, which is the highest level British Cabinet. The meeting will address what actions the British government will take in response to the three terror attacks and attempted attacks on Great Britain over the last 24 hours.
UPDATE 8:18 p.m. ET: Debbie at Right Truth has some eye witness accounts. She also reports that the hospital to which one of the burned terrorists was taken to had to be evacuated.
Hot Air is keeping on-going updates. The bomber whose ’skin was falling off’ is in critical condition and at one point was rumored dead. He had a ’suspect device’ on his person when he was admitted to the hospital which resulted in the hospital being evacuated.
Planck’s Constant notes that Browne’s appeasement policies don’t seem to be working. Prior to taking office as Britain’s new Prime Minister he announced to the world that he would take a more conciliatory stance with terrorism than his predecessor Tony Blair. Three days in office, three terror attacks. So far so good, huh Browne?
