Celtic Music Night

From Hillbilly White Trash

Tonight we return to the Celtic music format with a new video of Capercaillie performing The Tree from the Beautiful Wasteland CD. The gist of the song is that the singer’s lover is at sea and will return by Halloween (samhain, pronounced saw’in) if he gets a fair wind.

I hear the voices of my ancestors in this music.

Money Can Buy You Children

The fact that celebrities can buy children is very bothersome to me. Not just celebrities, but anyone with enough money. It doesn’t matter who you are, what you do, or what you do to children for that matter.

I have been watching the Phil Specter trial (in spurts) and saw an interview with his ‘children’. Although they claim to love their ‘father’ they describe a fairly horrific childhood. They both describe being picked up out of an orphanage as presents for the ‘mother’, as though they were pets.

Hillbilly White Trash has a post on Rosie O’Donnell recently using her adopted daughter, Vivian, to make some point. She dressed Vivi up as a jihad child and put her picture on her web page. I’m sure there was a reason to do this in Rosie’s mind, but who wants to go into Rosie’s mind?

Lemuel’s sharing some humor at Rosie’s expense. Heh!

Adeline and Hazel have a post showing that even the masks over the faces of Michael Jackson’s children doesn’t cover the sadness in their eyes. It appears he’s shopping for another child.

Political correctness has it’s victims.

Jeep Rams into Glasgow Scotland Airport and Burst into Flames

A Jeep Cherokee drove at full throttle through security barriers and crashed into the main terminal building of Glasgow, Scotland airport. Witnesses are reporting that the Jeep burst into flames and exploded once it was rammed into the terminal.

The driver and another man jumped out of the Jeep prior to it hitting the terminal. They were wrestled to the ground by police and by-standers and placed under arrest.

This incident just happened and there is still a lot unknown. At this point it is being reported that three men have been arrested. Witnesses are saying they observed officials taking canisters out of the Jeep.

The airport has been closed, flights into and out of Glasgow airport have been suspended and an investigation is underway.

Scotland Airport AttackScotland Airport Attack

All of the reports are primarily speculation at this point.

UPDATE 12:12 p.m. ET:
There were injuries in these attacks this morning. No reports on the number on injuries.

There is some speculation that these attacks are a diversion from a planned larger attack. It does seem to be a low-tech, low-expertise attack. It makes sense they are trying to create a diversion or it’s the Terrorists That Can’t Shoot Straight Gang.

UPDATE 1:00 p.m. ET:
Scottish officials are now reporting that this is a ‘terrorist event’.

UPDATE 1:11 p.m. ET:
Eye witnesses are saying the two men jumped out of the car and started pouring petrol (gasoline) on the car. In the process, one of the terrorist became engulfed in flames. The car was on fire as it drove into the terminal and appeared to attempt to crash through glass doors at the entrance to the building.

The size of the fire shown in the photos that are coming out appears much larger than one would expect from a car on fire hitting the building. It certainly LOOKS like there was an explosion.

UPDATE 1:14 p.m. ET:
The United States announces it is immediately putting into place an increase in security at airports around the country. This security will stay in place through the holiday week. There is not an increase in the terrorist threat level for the United States at this time.

UPDATE 1:45 p.m. ET:
British Prime Minister Browne has called an emergency meeting of the British Cobra Group, which is the highest level British Cabinet. The meeting will address what actions the British government will take in response to the three terror attacks and attempted attacks on Great Britain over the last 24 hours.

UPDATE 8:18 p.m. ET:
Debbie at Right Truth has some eye witness accounts. She also reports that the hospital to which one of the burned terrorists was taken to had to be evacuated.

Hot Air is keeping on-going updates. The bomber whose ’skin was falling off’ is in critical condition and at one point was rumored dead. He had a ’suspect device’ on his person when he was admitted to the hospital which resulted in the hospital being evacuated.

Planck’s Constant
notes that Browne’s appeasement policies don’t seem to be working. Prior to taking office as Britain’s new Prime Minister he announced to the world that he would take a more conciliatory stance with terrorism than his predecessor Tony Blair. Three days in office, three terror attacks. So far so good, huh Browne?

Email Our Troops

Packages for Soldiers

I wrote about this a week or so ago but a reminder is a good idea.

From the PC Free Zone

US Marine Colonel Simcock, the commander of USMC Regimental Combat Team 6 in Iraq, is asking for 6,000 positive emails to his Marines.

That’s one email for each Marine in his RCT command. COL Simcock is concerned about the effect of the negative barrage that those Marines are getting through the electronic media. I’ve attached an excerpt from an interview with him. So far, they’ve only mustered 2,000 emails. That’s a crying shame compared to the amount of crap I get daily in email.

The email address is:
RCT-6lettersfromh@gcemnf-wiraq.usmc.mil

I KNOW it means so much to them to get letters from home. I might add that it means a LOT to the Army guys who are over there for very long periods of time. They get weary and a little reminder of home means more than I think we can even imagine.

It only takes a minute.

Second Car Bomb Found in London

Evening Update: ABC NEWS is reporting that Germany has arrested two suspects who came there directly from the Pakistani al-Qaeda terrorists training camp that recently had it’s graduation.

In addition to the tension in London, German officials say they are equally concerned they could be a target soon.

Officials tell ABC News at least two men have been arrested inside Germany who came directly from the Pakistan training camp.

The question is, how deep does this rabbit hole go?

London Car Bomb Attack 2007A Mercedes filled with large quantities of gasoline, propane and nails was found in London. The car bomb was diffused. Now a second bomb of similar nature has been found in West London near Buckingham Palace.

Sources revealed that officers examining a Mercedes found in an underground car park off Park Lane this afternoon discovered an explosive device inside.

It has not been disclosed what sort of bomb was found, but the revelation comes just hours after bomb disposal experts defused a device set to detonate petrol, gas cylinders and nails in a car outside the packed Tiger Tiger nightclub in The Haymarket.

It is thought the second car was found parked illegally in the West End by traffic wardens in the early hours of this morning. It was then towed to the pound - located in the car park - but left outside in the public area when staff reported that it smelt of fuel.

Earlier this afternoon Park Lane was sealed off and Hyde Park evacuated after bomb experts were called in to examine the car.

Security alerts caused by the searches brought much of London to a standstill. [source]

The car came to the attention of authorities when an ambulance crew called police when they saw smoke coming out of the car. The second bomb was illegally parked near Piccadilly Circus, when it was towed away the workers became suspicious when they noticed a strong smell of gasoline.

In both instances, it was pure luck that the cars were discovered. Both were in places obviously chosen to do a maximum amount of damage and loss of life.

Scotland Yard is in pursuit of three suspects from the Birmingham area. The Birmingham area is known for it’s large population of muslim immigrants.

This story is developing.

What did Teach find the lefts reaction to be? It’s all a set up, of course.

So strange. How can the police find a bomb in a car?
I mean if you want to make sure your bomb goes off then you hide it in the car, park the car in a the area you want, leave the car and use your cell phone to trigger it.
How could the police have had the suspicion that there is a bomb in the parked car?
What did they see from outside?
Why wasn’t the bomb hidden?
Why wasn’t it triggered?
Do I smell here that somebody wants to assure Gordon Brown stays on course in the war on terror?

Not as cynical as me. I figured it was Shrub’s welcome to 10 Downing St. gift . . . a reason to align with the King in the war against the brown people.

Farfour Mouse Dies in Last Episode

Death Cult MouseFarfour, the Mickey Mouse look-alike that has starred in the Palestinian children’s show, Tomorrow’s Pioneers, is killed off in the last episode of the show. The show has drawn worldwide attention because of Farfour’s resemblance to Mickey Mouse and the lessons to the children about the world-wide domination of islam, martyrdom, and the armed struggle against Israel.

In what is called the last episode Farfour is beaten to death by a man dressed as an Israeli official who is trying to take palestinian land.

“Farfour was martyred while defending his land,” said Sara, the teen presenter. He was killed “by the killers of children,” she added.

Operation Phantom Thunder

Coalition Troops Put Pressure on Insurgents During Operation Phantom Thunder

Sgt. David Bauer attempts to breach a door during a house-to-house search for illegal weapons, explosives and high value targets in the Sadiyah section of Baghdad. Sgt. Bauer is from Company C, 1st Battalion, 18th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division.

Army News

WASHINGTON (American Forces Press Service, June 28, 2007) - The troop plus-up has become “a surge of operations,” and coalition forces are in the early stages of a difficult fight, a Multinational Force Iraq spokesman told reporters in Baghdad yesterday.

Coalition and Iraqi troops working together have led successful operations recently in Baqubah, Mosul, Anbar and Diyala provinces, and north of Baghdad, Army Brig. Gen. Kevin Bergner said.

“We are on Day 12 of Operation Phantom Thunder, the Multinational Corps’ offensive to simultaneously increase pressure in and around Baghdad. This has been, and will continue to be, a tough fight; we are in the early stages of that fight,” he said.

We sure aren’t hearing much about the troops surge and the victories our Soldiers are having in Iraq. Or is it just me?

Coalition (read: American) Troops have killed senior al_Qaeda leaders.

One of the leaders killed operated a cell that helped foreign fighters move into Iraq; he also fought against coalition forces in Afghanistan in 2001. The other slain insurgent, known as Khalil al-Turki, operated with the same cell and held close ties to other senior al Qaeda leaders, Brig. Gen. Bergner said.

Illegal prisons, torture chambers, execution chambers used by al-Qaeda have been uncovered. Weapons caches have been found and destroyed.

Local residents in Mosul this week led Iraqi and coalition forces to a weapons cache and a large bomb factory where troops found insurgents assembling four truck bombs and two car bombs “in an assembly-line manner,” Brig. Gen. Bergner said. In conjunction with this raid, combined forces nabbed 32 suspected terrorists.

This article gives credit to friendships forming between coalition troops and the Iraqis. I personally think they will cooperate with who they view as the stronger and more protective. As long as the Americans show strength and the Iraqis feel they will be protected from al-Qaeda retribution, the Iraqis will cooperate.

Read the story.

The Danish are at it Again!

You have to love the Danes!!!

The burning of the prophet Muhammed

We declare:

Saint Hans’ Eve has always celebrated the tradition of burning away the evil, in earlier times symbolized by the witch, who was supposedly directly connected to Satan. And if the witch was not burned then the harvest could not be safely brought into the house.

Now a new evil has arrived in Europe, an evil that lies and kills in the name of their so-called God. An evil that springs from the so-called Prophet Mohammed. Therefore, in our time, it is he who symbolizes evil and it is not just one harvest that will disappear, but all of Western Europe’s future that will vanish if this evil is not dispatched to Hekkenfeldt [i.e. Hell, literally the Hekla volcano in Iceland — BB].

Therefore will we burn the so-called Prophet Mohammed, on June 23, 2007, in three nameless places.

We burned Mohammed in three different places across the country. We now release the video from the first burning. The next videos will be released on July 23 and August 23.

For a Mohammed-free Denmark!!!
