George ClooneyThe 40th anniversary issue of Rolling Stone interviewed several top actors on their political views. One of the interviewees was Meryl Streep who did the usual leftist rant about conservatives being ‘Nazis’. It never ceases to amaze me how they don’t seem to be able to make the logical connection in their brains that the very fact they are giving interviews and speaking out about their delusions of being oppressed is proof that they are NOT being oppressed. Don’t they see the irony of that?

I saw some television interview that Streep did recently in which she was making fun of O’Reilly. Her voice was so shrill that I literally could not understand what she was saying and it hurt my ears. Well, that’s her problem, I can turn down the volume.

Streeps response is nothing we haven’t heard a million times in the leftist talking points. The part of this Rolling Stone interview that was a little unique was George Clooney’s claim that liberals would have saved the witches during the Salem Witch trials in the 1600s. Wow! Who would’a thunk it!

Go through the history of time. During the Salem witch hunt, the liberals thought there was no such thing as witches, and the conservative view was “They’re witches and they all have to die.” I don’t argue with conservatives over morality. I don’t preach morality, certainly, but I won’t be told that liberal is immoral.

He also gives the dictionary definition of the word ‘liberal’ as people who listen to other points of view and claims his mission is to campaign to get conservatives to quit bad-mouthing liberals. Its a good word. Well, yes, it IS a good word. First, what is this with forever blaming everyone else because of your own craziness? Conservatives didn’t give ‘liberal’ a bad name - progressives did. People like Looney Clooney are what give ‘liberal’ a bad connotation. He’s not a ‘liberal’ in the classic sense but he gives himself that label. If you want to be a liberal, fine. Then BE a liberal and LISTEN to other points of view. Don’t just spend your time shouting everyone else down. That’s one of the reasons people are more than a tad peeved with ‘liberals’ (aka: progressives, communists and socialists) right now. They. Don’t. Listen.

This nonsense goes on and on. He’s confused about WHY our ancestors came over from England to begin with. He basically says that every nation we have helped get on their feet is the worse for it …. I don’t know, Japan and Germany seem to be doing pretty well.

I don’t really care what these people have to say or don’t say. The part that chaps me is that they have a bully pulpit from which to spout their words which gives them a higher level of credibility with our enemies. They are heard whereas the rest of us are basically spitting into the wind.

Since they have the ability to be heard they can do more harm. I think they endanger our Troops. THAT is the problem I have with them.

I REALLY have a bone to pick with the hollywood types that are going out of their way to portray our Troops as monsters instead of heroes and liberators. I really have a problem with the portrayal as soulless, ignorant, uneducated, miscreants who joined the military because they can’t do anything but blow up things. THAT. makes. me. mad.

You can not say that you support the Troops while undermining their mission. That’s not to say you have to blindly accept whatever mission our Troops are sent on. I am saying that if you truly support our Troops, you either support their mission or SHUT UP! Your constant howling, moaning and gnashing of teeth creates a much more dangerous environment for our Troops to have to have to deal with and I believe encourages the enemy which results in more casualties.

So SHUT UP!
