I heard some Barack Obama campaign people today making a point of pointing out that Obama is making a point of speaking to the issues in his latest speeches. This is in reaction to the allegations from the Clinton
machine campaign that he’s all fluff and no substance. Well, to be fair, most people who actually listen to him say that, but Clinton is really pushing that concept these days.
I’ve heard people compare Obamessiah to the great orators of our time. I do think that Obamessiah is certainly a gifted and dynamic speaker. He has charisma oozing out of every pour, but really, is he seriously a Martin Luther King, Jr.?
Michelle Obama obviously understands where her husband’s strength’s lie as she has firmly and decisively instructed him to not think and to stick to feelings.
This strategy is working in a particularly interesting way. As he attempts to define what he means by ‘change’, ‘hope’, ‘yes we can’ and promises the world butterflies, rainbows and unicorns from cradle to grave another phenomenon has been taking hold of the Obama followers. People are ‘falling out’ (as they say around here) for Obama. Now, I know that people have historically ‘fallen out’ for Jesus, but this is a new day and a new messiah.
Women are ‘falling out’ (fainting, getting the vapors, whatever you want to call it) with alarming regularity at his speeches. Interestingly, he responds in the exact same way each time and each time it creates an even great roar declaring the greatness of the man who has brought about this response from him crowds of
worshipers followers people listening to his sermon speech. Not to worry, Obamessiah is there to tell the crowd to part, give her air and he seems to always have bottled water on hand to help revive her.
My concern is that might be his health care plan in a nutshell.
Check out just a few of the falling out episodes lately and Barack’s response.
