Iran election news. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad wins a landslide election. Or does he? The people of Iran have a different story to tell and there are Iranian riots tonight.
Every man yearns to be free. The riots in the streets of Iran in the wake of the ‘election’ there that resulted in a declared Mahmoud Ahmadinejad win are testament to that. The Iranian riots and the resulting suppression of opposition remind me of the events in Tiananmen Square, China in 1989.
While the rest of the world sees blood flowing in the streets as men attempt to gain freedom, the United States is giving away the freedom our forefathers gave us with their blood. We have elected a man with a dated political ideology from the 1950s that has been tried and failed. As others countries struggle to be free from communism and socialism, the backward ‘progressives’ reach back to an outdated political ideologies of the past that are proven failures.
I can’t help but feel that the reasons Americans are so out of sync with the rest of the world is that the ‘Greatest Generation’ is the last American generation that had any idea of what it is like to not take prosperity for granted. We’ve had it too good for too long and now we EXPECT the freedoms and prosperity that has been bought for us with the blood of our forefathers.
The left expects Obama’s ‘Neville Chamberlain’ appeasement ‘peace in our time’ methods to work. The right knows that our enemies view Obama’s overtures as weakness and opportunity to take us down.
Even though Iran is putting down opposition as fast as they can, the youth who are protesting the alleged election results are twittering what is going on in Tehran.
Was it fraud? – Potterico’s Pontifications.
Gina Cobb notes that the Obama approach isn’t sitting well with the Iranian people.
In light of the Iranian elections, is the door slamming on hopechangery?
Lawhawk suspects fraud. Yeah, and so does the rest of the world.
Daniel Pipes has a comprehensive assessment of the Iranian elections.
Oh, and did I mention that Ahmadinejad opponent and Iranian presidential candidate Mir Hossein Mousavi has been arrested. We don’t know when or if we’ll ever hear from him again.
Here is a video of the Iranian riots in the wake of the declaring that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad wins the Iranian elections. We all know that no one wins the elections in Iran without the support and approval of the Mullahs. And so, Ahmadinejad has managed to stay in their good graces and has survived politically to threaten and endanger the world for another day. God help us all.

Was Ahmadinejad elected? Or maybe not – Hot Air.

Ahmaddinajad represents the power structure in Iran, the mullahs, the revolutionary gaurds, the money interests they control. Apparently there is a strong countermovement among the young and middle class against him that only recently visibly expressed itself. The whole nuclaerization of Iran depends on keeping ahmaddinajad in power and its clearly a fascist government. The mullahs won’t allow a democratic election as their power is defended by the revolutionary gaurd structure. No wonder they were beating the opposition with billy sticks. This is a rare window into the true nature of the Iranian government and power structure that they will soon shut to the world.I think the nuclearization of Iran is their paramont project and they are making a run for it to the exclusion of all else. Same with North Korea. Its been that way for years, but now the pressure is really on, and they are being blatant about it. Bush picked the wrong war.
dude, your biased.
