As Governor Sarah Palin steps down and become “private citizen” Sarah Palin, she had a few very pointed words to say to the media, constituents, and maybe even Barack Obama! Read more below, see photos and watch the video.
Governor Sarah Palin is spending the weekend saying goodbye as Governor to Alaskans by attending three “Governor’s Annual Picnics” held around the state. At the picnic in her hometown of Wasilla, Sarah Palin spoke before friendly faces, wearing jeans and a Patriot’s sweatshirt which included her Blue Star pin, signifying herself as a ‘Blue Star Mom.’ Her son Track, is in the Army and currently deployed to Iraq. Her key message?
“Let us continue to love our country, be proud of our country, never apologize for our country!”
Sarah Palin spoke to hundreds of supporters in a military Honor Garden telling them that she wanted to “do something more worthy than speaking politics” before sharing a story about a reporter who had asked her about how she handles difficult days.
“I said, ‘Oh no,’ it is not a down day – my son called this week from Iraq! He is safe, he is sound. It is always a good day when my son calls.”
As the crowd applauded Sarah for that comment she interrupted them saying this:
“I wish that some in the media would keep things like that in perspective, what is really important in our country. And what is important is our freedoms, America’s security, our liberty.”
Later, remembering our military families that have lost loved ones, she again drew loud applause by saying:
“Let us continue to love our country, be proud of our country, never apologize for our country.”
When she was finished speaking, a man at the back of the crowd shouted out “We want you as our commander-in-chief,” which as you can imagine, caused more cheering from the crowd and a military-style salute from Palin. But that was really the only hint she gave as to her future plans once she has left the Governor’s office.
But, the one thing that is certain is that unlike Barack Obama, Sarah Palin would never apologize for our country to friend and foe alike. Are you watching Sarah, Obama? You really should – you could learn a few things.

Sarah Palin: ‘Never Apologize For Our Country!’ Video

What a silly article. Americans had to apologize for the Bush administration every time they went overseas. Many sewed Canadian maple leaves onto their backpacks to avoid being recognized as Americans. Those who fessed up had to explain to everyone they met that no, they didn’t vote for Bush and no, they don’t approve of him.
Have you seen the new polls? Obama has, in six short months, largely restored America’s standing abroad. Americans need no longer feel ashamed of their country and its citizens when they travel the world. It’s wonderful!
Reading asinine comments about “apologizing for America” from a ditzy airhead in Alaska does nothing to diminish the vast improvement in governance that America experienced when Obama took office. And now, today, Alaska experiences its own vast improvement in governance, with Palin abandoning her office for no coherent reason.
Perhaps silly articles like this will appear less often, beginning today. Let’s hope so!
Why should anyone listen to what Plain has to say. Palin is a quitter or as W.L. Iggiagruk Hensley describes her, a qiviter. There is a related post at http://iamsoannoyed.com/?page_id=588
hey mark
guess what? sarah palin isn’t going away and clearly that has you and your liberal friends scared.
and the polls? what about the one that has oblahblah under 50% for his approval rating? i guess you missed that one.
noble try though.
Kate,
The shift key makes the big letters. I am not afraid of Sarah Palin, I am embarrased for my fellow Americans who follow her. I am afraid of how ugly the in fighting of our country has become. Our enemies aren’t afraid of us either. They are just sitting back waiting for us to destroy ourselves. And we will, especially by setting the bar so low in leadership. She is a global joke.
Case in point.
“Aint gonna shut my mouth/I know there’s got to be a few hundred million more like me/just trying to keep it free
Palins grasp of the world is a joke. I want a president who understands more than platitudes and patriotic sayings.
The dominating and facsist left of the democrats have went after Palin with the venom that would bother Pelosi, she has more going for her than Hillary and nobody said, she was a joke, the most she did was throw shoes at Bill’s escapades! Wow that is a resume for big government elists! The pendulumn is going to swing back with the radical pro-pagan agenda that the middle of the democrats are not even with. Palan needs to get the right and middle conservaties in the party’s and she is going to the big house, ready or not, if we can have a joke drunk comeidan Senator in Minnesota than we can have an accomplished princess governor as the next leader!
Several editors went through and proofread Palin speech were she quit her job to see what it Take to make it printworthy. They found roughly 400 errors in only 5 pages. I guess when you have to go to 6 schools to get a degree in journalism you might have a hard time with things like writing.
Go ahead and nominate Palin in 2012 just teach her to read and write first or she will get crushed.
Ba careful when you cite numbers; the President’s popularity is down below 50% but Sarah Palin’s is lower sitting at about 40%. This is down from 60% in a few short months. You can’t win an election if you are less popular than the incumbent. Popularity flows from a comprehensible, realistic and executable plan. Today, neither the President or Palin seem to have such a plan; but the President has an advantage, a knowledgeable staff and the power of the White House. Palin seems to have just herself and her family and a loose amalgam of supporters, this doesn’t bode well for her in comparison to the President’s resources.
I see Carly is busy posting the same stupid comment on every sight she can. Oh, well.
0bama will be roadkill on the Sarah Palin Highway to DC, scheduled for completion, Nov. 2012.
