Deloris Nissen: Sell TVs, Avoid Obama

Deloris Nissen, 78, of Carroll, Iowa is so upset with Obama on TV constantly that she decided to sell both of her TV’s. Read more about her frustration below.

Being a senior citizen myself, I can certainly appreciate Deloris Nissen’s anger at having to see Barack Hussein Obama on television almost 24/7. Ms. Nissen used to work at K-Mart and is now a retired nurses aide who has taken offense to having her TV shows consumed by the Barack Obama – all – the – time networks. She decided to get rid of her TV’s and placed a $5.50 ad in this Friday’s Daily Times Herald. In her ad she states “Obama on every channel and station” as the reason for the sale.

Deloris Nissen said this in an interview:

“I just got tired of watching him on every channel, I thought, my gosh, does he ever stay at the White House?”

She has been keeping the remote close by, with extra batteries so she can change the station when the overexposed, super-star Barry appears every other second (or so it seems to me) on television. However, that wasn’t working out too well, hence the sale.

Obama’s own advisers and political observers across the ideological spectrum have for months debated whether the now popular president is overexposed.

I can just hear them now, trashing a senior citizen for what they view as an over-reaction. Plus it won’t really solve the problem of seeing Obama or his wife Michelle with her numerous fashion mistakes, unless she avoids all newspapers, magazines and blogs. At one point I decided to sell my televisions too, until I realized that Barack and Michelle would still intrude in my life every waking minute. No matter where you are, you can’t help but see one or the other, or both after their uber expensive date nights that absolutely must be reported. After all, they represent all of us normal folks, right?

I am appalled at the amount of time the One and his “never been proud of my country” wife spend in front of any and all available cameras. Never in my life have witnessed so much coverage of two people that essentially have accomplished nothing. Oh wait … Barry did manage to put all of us and our future offspring into debt until hell freezes over, and Michele Obama has shown us all how to arch our eyebrows so we can look evil and formidable, too. I am truly grateful that they haven’t dragged their children into their “look at me, look at me” syndrome. Their girls appear to be delightfully normal children …. so far.

Seriously, liberal or not, haven’t we seen enough of them? He is the president, shouldn’t he start acting like one? And Michelle … what other first lady can you think of that wore $500.00 sneakers to help feed the poor? That was a photo-op, folks. They act like Hollywood superstars, but they’re not. Why can’t they just once, hide somewhere for an hour or two?

For those that say if you don’t want to see them, don’t look, that’s not really an option is it? I’d have to go blind or duct tape my eyes shut to avoid seeing either on any given day. And you know I’m right.

Deloris Nissen is selling her TV’s to avoid seeing Obama and I wish her well with that, but don’t think she will accomplish her goal. I like her attitude though, and share it. Too any criticism she says “I’m an old lady, and I don’t care.” Bravo Ms. Nissen! I also share this concern from Wonkette:
