Never underestimate the power of left-wing lunacy. The environmentalist whacko’s are using the Obama Yellowstone trip to push global warming hype fresh and new. Global warming has been on the back burner since the House passed Cap and Trade; the current debate on healthcare has made that look tame by any measure.

Two of the best examples of environmentalism gone wrong can be found in Vanity Fair and Huffpo. Let’s start with Huffpo, I still have a bit of respect for them. Frances Beinecke writes a piece about how the Obama Yellowstone trip, while it should be an eye opening experience due to the miraculous wonders of the park, will only be an eye opener due to the “domestic ravages” of global warming. From Huffington Post:

Sadly, though, they’ll also witness firsthand the domestic ravages of global warming. This widening scourge is taking a devastating toll on our country’s first, oldest and most beloved national park, one more reason why the Senate should pass legislation aimed at curbing climate change and the destruction it wreaks.

Ms. Beinecke goes on to describe in excruciating detail about the near extinction of the whitebark pine tree. Doesn’t she realize that miracles will happen on the Obama Yellowstone trip? President Obama need only to wave his hand, and all of the damage being done to the whitebark pine will immediately reverse.

The Senate has the opportunity, and the obligation, to stand up to this unfolding calamity and stem the reach of its disastrous tide.

I think she’s advocating the passage of Cap and Trade. I could be wrong. Next we have the always entertaining Vanity Fair. When they’re not busting Sarah Palin’s knee caps, they’re always good for a great comparison of Obama to one of our most loved and revered Presidents.

Somehow, the folks at Vanity Fair have taken the occasion of the Obama Yellowstone visit to compare Obama to Teddy Roosevelt. Noting that he was of course an environmental warrior who saved Yellowstone for generations to come; they also have a nice picture of T.R. and Obama standing in Yellowstone together. Wow! How did they convince T.R. to come back from the great beyond to pose with Obama? From Vanity Fair:

This week the White House announced that the Obamas will, in fact, visit Yellowstone National Park on Saturday as they begin a three-day Western trek, which will include a stop at the Grand Canyon. And this Sunday, on CBS’s Face the Nation, Brinkley will hold forth on Theodore Roosevelt and the power of the president to use his executive authority to bring about lasting environmental change.

Ah, if only Roosevelt had had a track record on how to seamlessly institute comprehensive health-care reform!

Yes. The power of the President to use his executive authority to bring about lasting environmental change; didn’t he say the oceans would begin to recede when he was elected? Anyway, as you can see, the Obama Yellowstone trip is just another opportunity for the left to push their agenda. Whatever it may be.

  1. Hmm. Palin just busted Obama’s kneecaps. Obama’s sweat’in to the oldies. All Palin had to do was call him on one major issue and he can’t make sense of his own attacks. He’s falling apart and the American people see it. His political career is on the line with these horrible pathetic bills and he doesn’t see the train a coming.

  2. You’re right Harold, Obama’s worst enemy is Obama.

The Dems worst enemy is themselves. Let’s hope they keep it up.

  3. This article cannot be taken seriously. It is a biased political statemtn and does not offer any facts to support the views expressed. You can certainly have an opinion, but if you want any rational, thinking person to pay attention to what you are saying, you need to do more homework. Pathetic…
