Here are the details of Applebees Veterans Day offer in which both active-duty military and veterans can eat free food. Good for them, and for Krispe Creme Doughnuts which is doing the same thing. See the video and information below.

Where is an Applebees near you? Find out!

The essential information is as follows:

1. All Applebees restaurants are participating in the Veterans Day free meal program including Canada. That’s 1900 restaurants in North America! See below for how to find an Applebees restaurant in your area.

2. The hours you can get a free meal are all day long!

3. You must be active duty military or a veteran.

4. You can’t eat just anything you want for free. There are six specific meal choices offered which include a chicken dish, steak, hamburger, vegetarian or pasta.

5. To prove you are really eligible you are allowed to do one of many things. You can wear your uniform, show a military ID, bring an earnings statement or any membership card from a veterans organization. Don’t forget! The honor system does not apply at Applebees restaurants when you want something for nothing.

More information can be found here and here and here.

Applebees did the same thing last year and ended up giving away over $10,000 in free meals to veterans. Because of all the advertising this year, and the fact we are in a recession, expect the numbers to swell.

To find an Applebees restaurant location near you, just use their handy locator which automatically detects locations for your area. I’m lucky to have 17 Applebees for free food near where I live!

  1. Dear Gentlemen:

My husband, who fought in the Vietnm War, and I took advantage of your Apple Bees Veteran promotion in November 2009. We were absolutely amazed and thrilled that veterans were being recognized and honored in this way by a local restaurant. We enjoyed the fellowship and the food.

My nine-year-old niece is doing an Open House project featuring Apple Bees. Each student was asked to pick a letter of the alphabet and create a shadow box featuring a place that begins with the chosen letter. She chose the letter A, called me, and told me that she needed my help. Needless to say, I replied in the affirmative.

    Sincerely,
    The Greenwades
