NASA has photographed the presence of liquid on one of Saturn’s moons. The photo below has been released by NASA and shows the glint of what is now known as a Titan lake. The lake is larger than the Great Lakes of North America. The photo confirms the presence of liquid on Titan.

Titan Lake

The Cassini space probe is currently orbiting Saturn and sending back fascinating pictures and data that may be changing the way that we look at this fascinating corner of our solar system. Scientist were able to confirm there was liquid in Ontario Lacus, the largest lake in the southern hemisphere of Titan, in 2008. Now, the space probe has sent back images of numerous and much larger lakes in the moon’s northern hemisphere. Pictured above is a photo taken by the Cassini space probe of Kraken Mare, one of the lakes on Saturn’s moon Titan. The sun is glittering off of the surface showing what scientist believe to be a methane lake.

Iran’s nuclear test on Wednesday, December 16, 2009, was a confrontation of their international and domestic rivals and a challenge to the West. They tested a high-speed missile and warned domestic opposition they would be arrested if they protested their nuclear program. The nuclear test of the Sejil-2 surface-to-surface missile was broadcast on Iranian television. A video of reactions to the the nuclear testing is below.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has never made a secret of his desire to wipe Israel off the face of the Earth or his contempt for Western civilization. He’s also never made any attempt to hide or deny his apocalyptic vision for the world. As Iran has moved closer to being a nuclear power, the closer Ahmadinejad gets to his vision for an apocalypse and the return of the Twelfth Iman.

An so, on Wednesday, Iran took a major step towards creating the chaos in the world that would help bring about the return of the 12-Iman and the destruction of Israel and the West. Iran’s defense minister, Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi, praised the test for its quick blastoff time and it’s ability to evade radar detection. He chanted ‘God is great, God is great, God is great’, as the rocket launched.

Iran’s nuclear test is widely considered a violation of United Nations Security Council resolution and was met with strong reactions from Western countries, including the United States and her allies in Europe. Western leaders, including British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, condemned the launch and called for further sanctions against Iran. As if sanctions have had any affect so far.

As with previous rouge nations, U.N. resolution against the development of Iran’s nuclear program and the outrage of Western countries seem to be absolutely toothless and ineffective. Barack Obama’s attempts to engage Iran in talks have been met with contempt and disrespect. The more attempts are made to pacify Iran, the more time they buy to build an arsenal of nuclear weapons and the more dangerous they are to the rest of the world.

The medium-range Sejil-2 rocket tested is more accurate and has a range of 1,200 miles. That means it can easily reach Israel or Southern Europe. It also can be launch from mobile platforms, making it difficult to target in an air-strike.

Iranian officials continue to insist the missiles are being developed for nothing more than their own defense and are not intended to ‘wipe Israel off the face of the earth’ as Ahmadinejad has repeatedly claimed he wants to do.

Here is a video of the launch. Below is a video of responses to Iran’s nuclear test on Wednesday. What do you think of the fact they have developed their nuclear program to this point and is obviously more sophisticated than previously realized?

Is Prince William a shadow king? British newspapers are reporting that he is, the Palace says that he absolutely is not. This isn’t the first time that there has been speculation that the popular Prince would bypass his less popular father as the next King of England. Read about it below and see photos of the Prince who will be King.

Prince William

Prince William is second in line for the throne of the United Kingdom behind his father, Prince Charles. Prince Harry, younger brother and spare to the heir to the throne is third in line for the throne. For years there have been rumors that Prince William would eventually take the become King without his father ever holding that position. That is probably more wishful thinking than actual fact.

Sarah Palin and Al Gore have been in back-and-forth word battle that started with an op-ed Palin wrote for the Washington Post. Gore responded from the Copenhagen Climate Summit and now Palin has responded to his response on her Facebook page. This global warming battle seems to be just heating up a bit and leaving a bit of a carbon footprint of it’s own. Read about it below and see photos and a video.

So what’s the deal with Al Gore going after Sarah Palin for having an opinion about the ‘Climate-gate’ scandal that has rocked the global warming world? Of course, they now call it ‘climate change’ cause since it has been pretty cold this year it seemed the term ‘global warming’ wasn’t sounding all that credible. Palin wrote an op-ed for the Washington Post titled Copenhagen’s Political Science. In the piece she mentions ‘climate-gate’ and those pesky emails that call into question the very fabric with which people like Al Gore created the ‘world is going to end because of global warming’ crisis. No one has profited from global warming hysteria more than Al Gore, so it stands to reason that he would need to belittle and condescend the comments she made. And, of course he did.

David Coleman Headley has been charged in the 2008 Mumbai attacks. He along with a co-conspirator, Tahawwur Hussain Rana, had previously been charged in a plot to murder the cartoonist who drew the Danish Muhammad cartoons that the islamic world found so offensive. You might remember the Muhammad Cartoon Wars of 2006 that sparked death threats, riots and murdering throughout islam. Apparently, Headley and Rana were still holding a grudge and planning on killing the cartoonist.

Headley is an American citizen from Chicago. He was previously known as Daood Saleem Gilani before changing his name in 2006. Apparently, he decided to change his name to make it more difficult to identify him as a terrorist. He was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit terrorist acts involving murder and maiming outside the United States in October 2009. Now, he has also been charged with helping to plan the 2008 Mumbai terrorist attacks.

Imagine the horror that Joan Najbar must have experienced when she got a letter returned that she had mailed to her Soldier son with ‘deceased’ stamped on the envelope. It’s hard to believe such a thing could happen, but it did to this Duluth, Minnesota woman. Now the Soldier’s mom is suing over the returned letter.

Najbar filed suit against the Postal Service last month in U.S. District Court in Minneapolis. Her suit claims emotional distress and negligence. As the mother of a son who has been deployed and was deployed during the same time period as her son, I can’t even imagine the emotion distress something like this would cause, which is why I wouldn’t be picked for a jury in this case.
