There was an interesting interchange between Senator Arlen Specter and Representative Michele Bachmann on a Philly radio station yesterday. Things got pretty ugly right from the start.

For a little background information, Arlen Specter is the long-time Senator from Pennsylvania. He was a Republican before he decided recently to become a Democrat and align himself with the Obama agenda. Michele Bachmann is a Republican Representative from Minnesota. As a female Republican, she has been targeted for defamation by the Leftist as ‘crazy’ and every demeaning adjective one can think of to assign to a Conservative Female. We know how it goes. Attractive, liberated females in the Conservative side of politics catch it from the intolerant Left. In addition, we have Specter who is running behind in his re-election prospects and has alienated pretty much everybody due to changing parties, backing the wrong horse in the current political arena and probably regretting some of the political decisions he has made. Too late for Specter to change his mind and move back to the Republican party. Things look dire for Specter and look pretty good for Bachmann and the values she promotes.

The two appeared together on a Philadelphia radio station yesterday. I don’t know why, but they did. In a later interview, Bachmann said that was the first time she had met Specter. We have the audio, video for you below in which you can hear the heated interchange between the two. It got ugly. The exchange was broadcast on 1210 AM’s Dom Giodano Show. It began with Specter challenging Bachmann to speak to what, exactly, she stands for. She laid out her agenda. Her agenda, as she articulated, has to do with cutting taxes and opposing the Obama health care bill.

After Bachmann laid out her agenda, Specter attempted to counter her. Bachmann kept talking as she had apparently not finished making her point. That didn’t sit well with Specter. The one-time Philadelphia DA tried to put her in her place. ‘I’m going to treat you like a lady, now try to act like one’, he blasted.

Bachmann replied, ‘I am a lady.’

The interaction went along the same lines with it sounding like the interviewer interceded that Ms. Bachmann was acting like ‘a lady’ at one point. Specter continued to accuse Bachmann of interrupting him and imploring her to ‘act like a lady’ if she wanted him to continue treating her as a lady.

Specter is polling way behind his contender, Pat Toomey, for re-election to the Senate Seat he now holds. He has changed sides, seemingly attempting to align himself with what he perceived as the winning team at the time. Since that them is crashing and burning at the moment, it’s certainly understandable that he is a little on edge. He can’t hardly go back to his original team, but he certainly backed the wrong horse. So perhaps, that has something to do with his ill-temper at the moment.

On the other hand, Michele Bachmann is extremely popular with the grass-roots movement, The Tea Party Movement. She is derided by the democratic party for having the courage of her convictions. They call her ‘crazy’. She is second only to Sarah Palin in the dismissive, sexist and just down-right nasty comments made about her by the Leftist in this country.

Arlen Specter said to Michele Bachmann, ‘Act Like a Lady’ in a manner that was condescending, dismissive and sexist in the extreme. I think his true colors shown through without question. Can you just imagine if that had been a Republican Senator speaking to a female Democratic Representative. I think it would be all over the news and women’s rights groups would be calling for his head.

You can listen to the interchange between Arlen Specter and Mcihele Bachmann in the video below.
