Hollywood actor Scott Baio made the mistake of twittering about the Obamas. It wouldn’t have been a problem except he’s not a leftist like most of Hollywood. His Obama tweets have resulted in death threats against him. He got in particular trouble when he tweeted this unflattering photo of First Lady Michelle Obama.

Scott Baio, former star of ‘Happy Days’ is one of the rare Republicans in Hollywood. Even rarer is the fact that he doesn’t try to hide the fact that he’s a Republican. He’s pretty vocal about it. He followed the recent Massachusetts Senate race and happily reported on his twitter account about Scott Brown’s victory there. Definitely not the norm for celebrities.

Then he made the mistake of trying to make a joke about Michelle Obama. He posted the picture show above with the caption, ‘WOW He wakes up to this every morning’. That Obama tweet brought death threats for Baio.

Some of his followers on Twitter didn’t find his attempt at humor funny at all. They started leaving comments telling him to kill himself and calling him a racist. I know, its shocking that anyone who doesn’t like something you say about the Obama’s would call you a racist, but that’s what they did.

Then, to make matters worse, Baio started trying to prove he wasn’t a racist. He posted a picture of himself with his wife’s best friend, who is black, and said that proved he wasn’t racist. He went on to give more evidence of his lack of racism by saying he wouldn’t have directed shows like The Parkers & The Wayans Bros. or worked in 41 episodes with Victoria Rowell on D. Murder. Sigh. That is SO the wrong tact to take. He did tell them to quit playing the ‘race card’.

Later, Baio tweets that he gain 5,000 followers because ‘people love to hate’ and promises to call the FBI about the death threats left in his comments. He informs all his new followers that, ‘For New followers: I POST A LOT OF JOKES WITH PICS. They are JUST that, a joke. NOT targeting anyone. Laughter IS the best medicine.’

He tried to point out the double standard by reminding his followers that just this week Jennifer Lopez called Sarah Palin a ‘crazy b*tch’ on the George Lopez Show. Lopez actually called her a ‘la cabrona’ which is Spanish slang for ‘b*tch’.

The problem, of course, is that he let them know they got to him. Those intimidation tactics are how the left tries to get everyone to sit down and shut up unless you agree with them. They continually tell us that Michelle Obama is beautiful and don’t want anyone to see her in any other way. They certainly don’t want you to see a photo that might depict her inner self. They don’t tolerate dissent. Period. Criticizing all other First Ladies is okay, but not Michelle Obama. If you do, then you are a racist. In other words, you aren’t to treat the Obamas the same way you treat other First Families or have the same expectations of them.

The bottom line is, it’s the Left that can’t see beyond race to the character of the person. They are just projecting their own small-mindedness onto anyone who dares to differ with them. So when someone like Scott Baio tweets an unflattering photo of Michelle Obama, the tweets bring death threats and accusations of racism. Too bad the Left is so close-minded and uses strong-arm tactics to try to stop any opposition.

  1. BAD WEEK FOR THE DEMOCRAT PROGRESSIVES HEHEHEHEH!

  2. God Bless you Scott…You are a breath of fresh air in Hollywood.

  3. Um, ok beth…Only the Left, huh?

  4. Stick to your guns, Scott. When I was in law school the most intolerant people I met were liberals. They can’t take a joke. They take themselves much too seriously. If you disagree with them they throw some kind of unflattering label on you. Go Scott Go!
