Stephen Cochran had it all in front of him. Collage, a fiancée and an offer for a professional recording contract. But life had other plans for him. The day was September 11, 2001. “It was just so horrific,” Cochran said. “It’s like I’d been called. I’d never been pulled so hard to do something.”

Here is the popular We the People video by Ray Stevens. I know you are probably having trouble getting onto his website to see it, so you can see it here. You can read the We the People lyrics while you listen to the video below.

We haven’t heard from Ray Stevens in a while. He is best known for songs like Ahab the Arab, Gitarzan, The Streak and Everything is Beautiful. But now he has come back with a bang. The 71-years-old Stevens website is crashing from the traffic of people wanting to hear his new song, We the People. I think that means the song has hit a cord with The People. It taps into the feelings of most Americans toward ObamaCare and the giant government power grab we are watching unfold among the Chicago Washington political elite.

Many people are saying that this song is becoming the anthem of the Tea Party movement. Of course, they generally say it in something of a derogatory way. You know THOSE kind of people all hang out together. Whatever. It’s a good song. So enjoy it below.

Ray Stevens has put a comic tone to a serious political subject that We the People aren’t at all happy about. In fact, we’re furious.

See the video and lyrics below.

Thanks to A Good Choice for the lyrics.

Here are the Video and Lyrics

Lance Cpl. Mark A. Juarez of Bakersfield, California was identified as a Marine killed in action. The news apparently came as surprise to Juarez who said he was pretty sure the Pentagon had made a mistake. Later, the Pentagon admits the mistake and started putting the pieces together about how it happened. The wrong Marine was reported killed in an Afghanistan battle. In fact, Mark D. Juarez of San Antonio, Texas has been killed in a battle in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Both men served in the same battalion and regiment

Lance Cpl Mark D. Juarez, 23-years-old, died on January 9, 2010 while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was a member of the 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. Mark D. Juarez lived in San Antonio, Texas most of his life. He was a graduate of Holy Cross High School.

The initial reports that it was Californian Mark A. Juarez, 22-years-old, were due to a clerical error. Apparently, the wrong file was pulled because of the similarity in their names. The first press reports listed his name, battalion, regiment, division, assignment and his base both in Bakersfield, California and in Hawaii where he is now based. However, the correct family was notified. The family of Texas Mark D. Juarez was notified in person of the loss of their son.

Sarah Palin is to be a Fox News contributor? Hells bells, I want her to be the next President of the United States. I had thought that she might be able to undo the damage done by the Obama Administration. I guess well have to wait to see. Read about it below.

White House national security adviser James Jones promised that there is a Christmas bomber report shock in store for Americans when we get a full report about clues that were missed that might have prevented the Christmas Day terrorist bombing attempt on Northwest Airlines Flight 253. The attempted bombing of that plane carrying 278 passengers only failed because of the actions of other passengers.

The report released on Thursday, was compiled through a review of security and intelligence systems. It revealed that our counter-terrorism experts never put the pieces of information that they had together. Those pieces of information include the fact that the bomber, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, was reported to U.S. officials as being an islamic extremist by his own father. The father of the Nigerian would-be suicide bomber also reported that his son was in Yemen, a hotbed of terrorist activity (remember the U.S.S. Cole?). Another piece of information that intelligence officers had was that al-Qaeda from the Arabian Peninsula are looking for ways to attack the U.S.

Dennis Miller was on Bill O’Reilly and did a segment about Sarah Palin. I know, that in and of itself is not that shocking. However, I like Dennis Miller and Sarah Palin and liked what Miller had to say (as I usually do). You can watch the video below.

Dennis Miller, Sarah Palin

As you probably know by now, Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin were voted the two most admired women in America. Hillary Clinton beat out Sarah Palin as the MOST admired woman in America by only one percentage point, 16% to 15%. Interesting thing that. This gallup poll tells us a few things. One is that regardless of the amount of slander, lies and innuendos the scared left is slinging at Sarah Palin, people aren’t buying it. They are seeing through the barrage of smoke and mirrors and understanding that the woman has a lot to offer our country. And, as Dennis Miller says, there is probably a bit of a sympathy vote for Clinton, ‘She’s been cheated on more than a blind man playing scrabble with a bunch of gypsies’. Harsh (but undoubtedly true)!
