They say a picture speaks a thousand words. I guess two pictures speak two-thousand or more. These two certainly do. The first is Obama with the troops and the second is Bush with the troops. Both photos were put out by the White House during their respective presidencies.
The compare and contrast is styles was first noted by Los Angeles Times’s ‘Top of the Ticket’ blog. The difference in the two presidents styles is almost jarring – if it weren’t so predictable.
Obama made an extremely brief visit to the troops in Kabul, Afghanistan last week. Greta Perry discusses his trip in the video below.
So to the photos …. Bush is among the troops, Obama has a podium set up in the background and a fence between himself and the troops. Is there more to be said about that?
