Miss Universe 2009, Stefania Fernandez of Venezuela will crown her successor at the conclusion of the 2-hour telecast of the Miss Universe 2010 pageant that is scheduled for August 23 in Las Vegas. The pageant has already garnered a lot of attention with the publication of racy body-paint photos of the Miss Universe 2010 contestants, many of them topless. All of that aside, Stefania Fernandez seems to think that Latina women have a leg-up in the contest because of their preparation and natural beauty. That may be the case seeing as she is the second Miss Venezuela to win Miss Universe in a row.
Regardless of her feelings about the beauty of Hispanic women, Stefania Fernandez is getting her green card based on her global philanthropic efforts. I’m sure it has nothing to do with the oppression under which Venezuelans are currently living under the dictatorship of their President Hugo Chavez. That was sarcasm, just so you know.
