Many on the left are deriding the Fox News pundit for holding this event. Many others see it as an opportunity to start restoring our nation. Martin Luther King’s niece, Alveda King will deliver featured remarks. She says it’s not about politics, but about advancing the concept of honor in our nation. The Restoring Honor Rally is being held starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 28, 2010 on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. The same place where Martin Luther King, Jr. gave his ‘I Have a Dream’ speech and on the 47th anniversary of that speech. Beck says that’s just a coincidence, but a good coincidence. It is scheduled from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. (ET).
The stated agenda for the rally is to pay homage to the United States military and those ‘who embody our nation’s founding principles of integrity, truth and honor.’ It is also to promote the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, which provides scholarships and services to family members of military members.
Those who are trying to make it political are missing the point. You can’t have successful Capitalism without accountability and Communism and Socialism are unacceptable in the U.S. and has been proven not to work in any country it has been attempted.
The answer is responsibility, moral accountability and a restoration of honor in our country.

The Restoring Honor Rally which will be taking place on the anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.s “I have a dream speech”. It will be hosted by Fox News pundit Glenn Beck and will be taking place on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial Saturday.
It will feature remarks from Martin Luther King Jr.’s niece Alveda King.
Alveda King, a conservative affiliated with the organization Priests for Life, said in a statement that she is attending the rally for nonpartisan reasons.
“I am participating in Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor Rally not to advance any political agenda, but to advance the concept of honor in our nation,” Alveda King stated.

Beck is a typical, fat, blubbery, and undereducated Republican similar to PorkyPig Limbaugh. Who cares what he thinks? How is it possible that the 60′s have screwed up our country so much. I realize that it has been a long time coming but I feel that we have been sucked in to feeling that we are doing good. Glenn Beck as an “example to our children”? I certainly can’t speak for you, but I would prefer that my children went to college, did not divorce their wife, did not abuse drugs and alcohol for decades, did not abandon the religion in which they were raised, etc. Not my idea of a role model by ANY stretch!

Truth, I’m a Christian myself. But my pastor is my pastor, my God is my God. I have a burden to share with others what he’s done in my life and be a witness. But that is my personal choice. I also believe in a little document called the Constitution. Don’t get me wrong, I wish people were a lot more moral than they are now. But that is my and your job, not the government’s. So, this notion of putting a religious figure in power to force the nation to be more Christian is non-biblical and not very effective. It is our job not the government’s. So, I hope you forgive people for being suspicious of a guy who is supporting a movement that is pushing big oil companies’ agenda and is, not surprisingly, funded by them. Beck is making millions of dollars to say what he says, he is manipulating people’s emotions and trust to gain millions, who cares if he is being used by big oil to say what he says? Plus, he is a mormon, a religion whose teaching is nowhere near biblical. If you’re honest with yourself, you can recall what happened under a republican Bush. Things didn’t go well and the American people wanted something different and chose democrat Obama. The least honest people can do is give him the benefit of the doubt and let him govern the way he promised to govern. Why is the Rep. party fighting dirty? Why not work with him for the American people’s sake? They had their chance, they blew it. Now the American people made their choice known, why won’t they play fair?

Today, the sad situation is that the Republican’s primary efforts are fixed on simply trying to stymie the Dems and set themselves up for the mid-term elections. Let’s try governing from a strong minority position and see if we can break the vicious and unproductive stalemate that is DC today.

Glenn Beck is a lying hypocrite. He lied at the rally about holding Washington’s inaugural speech. He has said on his talk show that he hates 9/11 families, “took me about a year to start hating 9/11 families” Now he goes on to say that the it’s only 10 families or so but whenever he see them on TV he’s like “O, shut up.” Then he goes on to say how the Community Center is so horrible.

So you’re basically saying that all the freedoms that have been spread more evenly-the blacks actually being able to vote, and go to white school, should go away and whites be supreme again? Over 90% of the people at the rally were WHITE. What it is is that all the racist white in the country are scared they’re going to become a minority in this country by 2050. So they’re trying to do something about it.
Something great about Obama is he sticks up for all people’s rights now matter what race/religion they are. But, then you idiots attack him for upholding the constitution which is part of his job.
