Christian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani

We’ve told you before about the imprisonment in Iran of Christian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani. He has been in prison in Iran since 2009 and under threat of execution for refusing to convert to Islam. Now Iran is moving closer to executing Pastor Nadarkhani after offering him another chance to convert. Read about it below.

Christian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani

Under Shari’a Islamic law, a Christian must be offered three opportunities to convert to Islam before he is executed for apostasy. It seems the clock is ticking for the 34-year-old Christian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani.

From The Jerusalem Post:

Iran’s security officials recently delivered a book on Islam to Nadarkhani, Fox News said. He is in prison Rasht on the Caspian Sea coast.

The Iranian officials told “him they would be back to discuss the material and hear his opinion,” according to the report.

Fox cited “sources close to the case.”

David Parsons, spokesman for the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem, told The Jerusalem Post on Sunday the new development is “very troubling.”

There need to be “three attempts to make him convert to Islam before they can kill him,” Parsons said. He cited Shari’a Islamic law as the basis for the threeattempts rule.

Iran “is going through the motions” and “trying to do it in a very public way for the Muslim world and maybe, in their mind, thinking they can placate the West. It is outrageous,” said Parsons, who is a contributing editor to The Jerusalem Post Christian Edition.

The case “should be an eye-opener for world leaders,” he said. “They should know what Islam teaches in terms of ‘inferior religions’ like Judaism and Christianity.”

Fox News wrote that it secured “a digital copy of the book given to Nadarkhani, a 300-page compilation entitled Beshaarat-eh Ahdein, meaning ‘Message of the Two Eras,’ referring to the New and Old Testaments. Through various narratives, the book claims Christianity is a fabrication and attempts to establish the superiority of Islam.”

Parsons said it “needs to be a priority to hold the Iranian regime accountable.

Governments, even Muslim governments, should not be allowing this. How can anyone find this acceptable this day?” Present Truth Ministries has campaigned since 2009 for Nadarkhani’s release and works to help persecuted Christians in the Middle East. “We cannot wait another moment, we have to contact our elected officials,” the USbased organization urges on its website in connection with Nadarkhani.

Dr. Wahied Wahdat-Hagh, an authority on minority groups in the Islamic Republic of Iran, told the Post by phone from Berlin on Sunday that the book given to Nadarkhani, Beshaarat-eh Ahdein, is “religious indoctrination.”

There is “no freedom of opinion or religion in Iran,” he said. The Iranian regime has been closing newspapers and “there is no freedom of conscience” in the Islamic Republic.

The book argues against the Judaism and Christianity, as well as against Bahais and Zoroastrians, Wahdat-Hagh, a senior fellow at the European Foundation for Democracy in Brussels, wrote in a followup e-mail.

“The fact that Mr. Nadarkhani was given this book makes clear that it does not deal with freedom of conscience, which does not exist in Iran, rather it deals with propaganda…,” he said.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the supreme leader in Iran, has reacted to pressure regarding Nadarkhani’s case, and Khamenei has the authority to vacate the death penalty sentence against the pastor, Wahdat-Hagh added.

“This case shows that Iran does not seek dialogue with Christians, rather it wants to convince Christians of the correctness of converting to Islam,” he said.

Surely no one believes that they won’t do it.

Christian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani

Iranian Christian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani is scheduled to be put to death in Iran as early as Wednesday, September 28, 2011 after being convicted of apostasy under Iran’s Shariah law. That is, he was a muslim and converted to Christianity and refused to convert back to Islam. The courts demanded he ‘repent’ and he responded that he couldn’t do that.

When asked to “repent” by the Judges, Youcef stated, “Repent means to return. What should I return to? To the blasphemy that I had before my faith in Christ?” The judges replied, “To the religion of your ancestors, Islam.” To which he replied, “I cannot.”

By the Shariah law of Iran he will be brought to court two more times and ordered to renounce Christianity. If he continues to refuse, he will be executed.

A close personal friend reports on the case on the Jordan Sekulow Show here.

Ahmadinejad: Iran Will Eradicate Israel

One of the things I never get about the ‘progressives’ is why they don’t believe what people tell them. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has been saying for years, consistently, that Iran will eradicate Israel (the Little Satan) and generally throws in the United States in his plans for destruction (the Big Satan).

He’s been saying it for years. He doesn’t vary from his theme or contradict himself. He seems pretty definite that’s his plan. And yet there are those who just don’t think he means it and are pretty dismissive of whatever he has to say. Take Ron Paul for instance. He doesn’t see a problem with Iran having nuclear capabilities even though Ahmadinejad has said repeatedly he plans to destroy Israel.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that Iran was determined to eradicate Israel, ISNA news agency reported Thursday.

“Iran believes that whoever is for humanity should also be for eradicating the Zionist regime (Israel) as symbol of suppression and discrimination,” Ahmadinejad said in an interview with a Lebanese television network, carried by ISNA.

“Iran follows this issue (the eradication of Israel) with determination and decisiveness and will never ever withdraw from this standpoint and policy,” the Iranian president added in the interview with the Al-Manar network.

The remarks by Ahmadinejad came one day before the annual anti-Israeli rallies named Qods (Jerusalem) Day, which are held nationwide in Iran on the last Friday of the fasting month of Ramadan.

Ahmadinejad on Monday said that Iranians and Muslim nations worldwide should hold Qods rallies and show their willingness to dispose of this “infectious tumor and this regime full of rascality.”

The Iranian president provoked international condemnation in 2005 when he said that Israel should be eliminated from the map of the Middle East and transferred to Europe or North America.

Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says that 9/11 is ‘a big lie’. He has again questioned the events of September 11, 2001 and the rationale for NATO troops in Afghanistan. Read more about it below.

In March 2010, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad referred to the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States as ‘a big lie’. He continued with his questioning of the events of that fateful day while visiting Qatar on Sunday, September 5, 2010. He says there has been no independent investigation into the events and that it is still not clear who perpetrated the attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and the Washington, D.C. flight that was thwarted by the plane’s passengers and crashed in Pennsylvania.

I guess that makes Ahmadinejad a ‘Truther’ along with Rosie O’Donnell and Charlie Sheen. Great company these people keep (all of them).

Here’s what he said yesterday.

Something happened in New York and still nobody knows who the main perpetrators of that act were.

No independent people were allowed to try and identify the perpetrators.

They say terrorists were hidden in Afganistan and NATO mobilised all its resources and attacked Afghanistan.

They say that in the Twin Towers, 2,000 people were killed. In Afganistan, so far more 110,000 have been killed.

We seem to be fighting a proxy war with Iran in first Iraq and now in Afghanistan. It is Iranian Soldiers that are fighting us and it is Iran that is arming and financing the Taliban and al-Qaeda who are fighting U.S. and NATO troops in the Middle East.

Iran has recently unveiled their ‘Ambassador of Death‘ and fueled their Bushehr reactor. They are nuclear and they are clear that their intentions are to destroy Israel and the United States.

All of this is done under the noses of pathetic U.N. mandates and sanctions that appear to be having no affect what-so-ever on Iran’s nuclear ambitions. Iran has ignored repeated ultimatums, and the ultimatums keep getting shifted around. Like a bad parent who never follows through with consequences but keeps changing them when the child is defiant.

And so, the tension continues as Iran blatantly defies the West. It is no surprise that Ahmadinejad says 9/11 is ‘a big lie’. What does he have to lose? Its just more fodder for getting a reaction from the West, gets him more publicity and continues to embolden our enemies. After all, this is war and he is providing propaganda for his intended audience – those who would see the United States destroyed.

Iran's Ambassador Of Death

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad sent a dire warning to the West while at a ceremony in with the Iran ‘Ambassador of Death’ bomber was unveiled. The long-range bomber is called ‘the Karrar’ and was inaugurated on the national day for the country’s defense industry in a ceremony. Read more and see photos of the unmanned striker below as well as a video report.

Iran's Ambassador Of Death

Iran ‘Ambassador of Death’ Bomber Unveiled

Just one day after Iran began to fuel its first nuclear power reactor, the Iranian defense minister and president showed the world their first Iranian built long-range unmanned bomber. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called it Iran’s ‘Ambassador of Death’ to its enemies.

If there is an ignorant person or an egoist or a tyrant who just wanted to make an aggression, then our Defense Ministry should reach a point where it could cut off the hand of the aggressor before it decided to make an aggression.

The unveiling ceremony was held on Sunday, August 22, 2010 as part of the Iranian national day for the country’s defense industry. It compliments the Bushehr project, which is Iran’s nuclear plant. Nuclear fuel was loaded into the Bushehr reactor yesterday with Russia’s help.

So much for the toothless sanctions imposed by the United States.

Iran is now a nuclear nation and while they insist that their motives are nothing but peaceful, we need to remember the words of their president. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has never been shy about expressing his intentions.

We would do well to remember who Ahmadinejad is, his belief in the coming of the 12th Iman and what he has been willing to do to shut down dissent in among his own people. Remember Neda Agha Soltan?

We have had years of warnings, coming from the leaders of Iran themselves. And still the time has passed, just in the last two days, to stop Iran’s nuclear ambitions without more blood-shed.

Ahmadinejad now claims that Israel is ‘too weak to face up to Iran’. He is using the U.S. withdrawal from Iraq as proof that the U.S. ‘couldn’t even defeat the small Iraqi Army’.

He’s pretty confident in saying that, especially now that they have nuclear capability and the United States has a president who doesn’t seem interested in dealing with Israel or any of the problems in the Middle East. Obama is on vacation anyway.

And so it goes. Just like all the warning before World War II were ignored until they could no longer be ignored. We have had years of warnings and apparently Iran and Ahmadinejad’s apocalyptic vision will be ignored until it can no longer be ignored.

Yesterday Iran fueled the Bushehr reactor. Today Iran ‘Ambassador of Death’ bomber was unveiled. It makes me wonder what news we’ll get from Iran tomorrow.

Photos and a video of the unveiling of the Karrar (‘striker’ in Farsi) can be seen below.

An Iranian official has said that Iran jets fuel refused by UK, Germany and the United Arab Emirates. The accusation was made on Monday, June 5, 2010. Mehdi Aliyari, secretary of the Iranian Airlines Union was quoted by ISNA news agency as saying that the countries have been refusing to fuel Iranian passenger jets for the past week because of the ‘unilateral law by America and the sanctions against Iran.’

Aliyari said that the airlines being impacted by the refusal for re-fueling are Iran Air, the national carrier and Mahan Air, a leading private airline. Both airlines operate several flights to Europe. Heshmatollah Falahat-Pisheh, an MP and a member of the Iranian parliament’s committee on foreign police and national security warned that Tehran will retaliate, especially towards the United Arab Emirates. He said that Iran should refuse to refuel British, German and UAE planes in Iran.

The German transport ministry said that neither the U.S. nor the United Nations sanctions against Iran covered refueling of passenger jets from Iran. Mohammad Reza Rajabi, head of Iran Air in German, says that the allegations are not true.

Things aren’t going well for anyone in Iran who opposes Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The Iran Islamic law crackdown has led to the ‘Green Revolution’ in that country which has led to violence against the protesters, deaths and hangings of opposition sympathizers. Now that crackdown is expanding to the point that a sun-tanned woman, arrested looking like ‘walking mannequins’. And still the U.S. administration is silent on the human rights abuses in Tehran.

Tehran’s chief of police, Brig Hossien Sajedinia, has announced there will be a renewed national crackdown on opposition sympathizers. This new layer of oppression is aimed at women who are deemed to be violating the spirit of Islamic laws. He stated:

The public expects us to act firmly and swiftly if we see any social misbehaviour by women, and men, who defy our Islamic values. In some areas of north Tehran we can see many suntanned women and young girls who look like walking mannequins.

We are not going to tolerate this situation and will first warn those found in this manner and then arrest and imprison them.
