Nora Ephron exposes herself as a racist and a sexist (again) while claiming that everyone else are racist and sexist. Well, at least white men in Pennsylvania are.

It is beyond anything that I can comprehend when I try to figure out how someone like Nora Ephron thinks. Instead of giving myself a headache trying to figure out what kind of though process goes on in someone’s head that thinks they have to focus completely on race and gender in virtually everything they do, I’ll just tell you what she’s written now.

Nora Ephron has indicted virtually everyone in Pennsylvania. Its convenient that she’s done this on the eve of the primary there. That way, regardless of the outcome, she’s already determined that its the people of Pennsylvania who can’t tolerate women and black people. She’s so open minded! Not unlike her candidates.

According to Ephron, white men are a plague on society and there is not a lower creature on the face of the earth than the white male.

…. white men cannot be relied on, as all of us know who have spent a lifetime dating them.

I’m sure Ephron feels perfectly justified in making a sweeping indictment like that. After all, no one gets upset when you slam white men. They aren’t among the many groups of people that are off limits to insult. All I can say is that she obviously hangs with a completely different group of white males than I do. I kind of like white men. My father, my husband, my brothers and my son are all white men and they are all fine men. That doesn’t mean that other men AREN’T fine - and that’s the difference between me and Ms. Ephron. In my mind it doesn’t have to be one or the other. Just because you like one group of people doesn’t mean you have to hate another group of people. I’m sure she doesn’t understand that concept, unfortunately.

She goes on to the irony that it is white men who will decide the fate of Hillary and Obama.

But now there are two and we’re facing Pennsylvania and whom are we kidding? This is an election about whether the people of Pennsylvania hate blacks more than they hate women. And when I say people, I don’t mean people, I mean white men. How ironic is this? After all this time, after all these stupid articles about how powerless white men are and how they can’t even get into college because of overachieving women and affirmative action and mean lady teachers who expected them to sit still in the third grade even though they were all suffering from terminal attention deficit disorder — after all this, they turn out (surprise!) to have all the power. (As they always did, by the way; I hope you didn’t believe any of those articles.)

To put it bluntly, the next president will be elected by them: the outcome of Tuesday’s primary will depend on whether they go for Hillary or Obama, and the outcome of the general election will depend on whether enough of them vote for McCain. A lot of them will: white men cannot be relied on, as all of us know who have spent a lifetime dating them. And McCain is a compelling candidate, particularly because of the Torture Thing. As for the Democratic hope that McCain’s temper will be a problem, don’t bet on it. A lot of white men have terrible tempers, and what’s more, they think it’s normal.

So any complaints white men might have are ’stupid’ (as she puts it) and if Obama or Hillary don’t get elected President it will be because these ’stupid’ white men who have never been out of the holler and seen nobody no diff’rent then they r are just too bigoted to vote for a woman or a black.

It seems that in Ms. Ephron’s mind that Obama is exactly the same as all black men and Hillary is the same as all white women. If you don’t like Obama, then you don’t like black men. If you don’t like Hillary then you don’t like white women. I don’t like Hillary OR Obama. I guess that means I can’t like any black people or white women.

What a pathetic view of the world this woman has. She really needs to get out and meet some people who don’t live in New York or San Francisco. She might even find a decent white guy out in Middle America somewhere who doesn’t beat on his women!

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to go back to clinging to my guns and Bible since I’m just an ig’rant Middle American who isn’t enlightened enough to know I don’t need guns and religion.

When Barack Obama talked about wanting to bring ‘change’ to America, I didn’t know he meant he wanted to make all of America into a Marxist form of government! Woah! Lets slow down here and take a closer look at this guy.

If you add up all the little statements that get a little bit of news here and there (I hate to think of what we haven’t heard through the news!), then you start getting the picture of a guy who really doesn’t think much of the people of America. Actually, its a pretty clear picture of an elitist who sees the people as needing someone like him to tell them how to live, where to live, where to work, where to go to school, how to raise their children and to basically run their lives for them. You know, kinda like Marxism.

As everyone knows by now, Obama was speaking to a group of wealthy elitist in San Francisco without the expectation that his words would be made public. You can translate that to mean that whatever stance he takes is determined by the crowd he is speaking to. In other words, no one know who the real Barack Obama is …. but we are starting to get a clue about him.

Here a part of what Obama said to his elitist friends:

But the truth is, is that, our challenge is to get people persuaded that we can make progress when there’s not evidence of that in their daily lives. You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. So it’s not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.

So religion is the opiate of the masses - so to speak. Here’s what Karl Marx said about religion:

What were the Marxist views of religion? Because the worker under the capitalist regimes was miserable and alienated, religious beliefs were sustained. Religion, according to Marx was the response to the pain of being alive, the response to earthly suffering. In Towards a Critique of Hegel’s Philosophy of Right (1844), Marx wrote, “Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the feeling of a heartless world, and the soul of soulless circumstances.” Marx indicated in this writing that the working class, the proletariat was a true revolutionary class, universal in character and acquainted with universal suffering. This provided the need for religion.

So how does a Marxist rule? Marxism is the system of socialism of which the dominant feature is public ownership of the means of production, distribution, and exchange. It is the antithesis of our current system, Capitalism. In other words, if you work hard you can reap the benefits of your labors. Under Marxism, if you work hard, you labors go to the support of those who don’t work or won’t work. Its a redistribution of wealth.

A proletariat or socialist revolution must occur, according to Marx, where the state (the means by which the ruling class forcibly maintains rule over the other classes) is a dictatorship of the proletariat. Communism evolves from socialism out of this progression: the socialist slogan is “From each according to his ability, to each according to his work.” The communist slogan varies thusly: “From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.”

Marxism or other forms of communism and socialism have been tried in various societies around the world. In every one it has been an abject failure. There is no motivation to work, to invent, to excel. Every thing you do goes to the ruling class … the government … to be redistributed to whom ever the elite view as the most needy. Often, the most needy is determined to be themselves.

Now we have an elite class in our country who would very much like to find themselves in the position of telling those of us in ‘fly over country’ … you know, us poor ignorant gun-toting, Bible thumping ignorant hillbillies, how to live our lives. They do, after all, know better than us how to spend our money.

All you have to do is add this piece of the puzzle to the many other pieces of the puzzle to start figuring out who Barack Obama really is. His wife’s many slip ups. She called American’s ignorant and saying she’d never been proud of America - I guess not if we are all toothless hillbillies! There’s Obama expecting different standards for different people, depending on who is part of his inner circle. And his questionable associations with the likes of Jeremiah Wright.

It bothers me that people are seriously considering electing someone to the Presidency of the United States when few people, if any, know who he is. His beliefs and messages are adjusted according to what audience he is speaking to. I wonder if he even knows who he is.

ABC news sent a reporter deep into the danger zones of Iraq to find out who American Soldiers are going to vote for for President. The reporter came away with some shocking sentiments from the Soldiers. For instance, she found out that Soldiers think about home and would like to be at home!!!! SHOCKING!!!!

“We think about how our families are doing back home. That’s a major concern, like how the economy is doing, also as well as where we’re going to be in the future. Because really, truly, what we consider we’re doing, we’re doing a valuable job, we want to make sure that the efforts we make are appreciated.”

The reporter also found out that the Troops are too engaged in what is going on there to keep up with politics back home. Lord. Have. Mercy! In a war zone they aren’t tuning in to CNN every night to see what the latest gossip is or how far they are going to have to go to willingly suspend disbelief in order to vote for someone this fall. Tsk. Tsk.

I don’t know what the Soldiers are so busy doing over there that they can’t chill out in the evening and tune in to ABC for the nightly Obama love fest!!! They didn’t have to work nearly as hard as this particular reporter had to work. She searched until she found three Soldiers who she could contort quotes from that could be construed to mean that they are going to vote for Barack Obama for President!

Now they can report that the military backs Obama for President!

Well done little ABC reporter! Well done! You know that had to be a difficult task, but she accomplished it. I hope she gets a big bonus for her efforts or a raise or a promotion. Its well deserved.

You win some, you lose some. In this case, Hillary Clinton is at the top of the ticket. According to the Pig Book she has beat out her competition for taking home the most pork.

Meanwhile Barack Obama, a brand spanking new Senator, gets second place. That’s a lot of pork for such a new Senator. It has to take a certain amount of arrogance nerve for a first term Senator to sneak that many pet projects into legislation. Of course, it helps when you understand that the democratic mindset is that any money you earn is theirs to take in taxes and spend as they see fit.

The nonpartisan taxpayer watchdog group Citizens Against Government Waste is out with its newest Pig Book, an overwhelming detailing of all 11,610 pork barrel projects inserted in the current fiscal year’s appropriations bills by individual members of Congress.

These semi-secret spending measures cost taxpayers an extra $17.2 billion this fiscal year alone. This is the first year legislators have had to attach their names to these measures

That’s B for billion dollar$. In extra spending. That typically didn’t go through the usual legislative committee screening. A huge increase over the previous year.

And guess which one of the surviving presidential candidates likes pork the most? And the least?

According to the Pig Book (”The Book Washington Does Not Want You to Read”), New York Sen. Hillary Clinton is our new grand national oinker among presidential contenders for most pork barrel spending. She inserted a whopping 281 individual spending projects into bills for the benefit of New York interests at the cost of taxpayers everywhere.

That totals $296.2 million.

Aren’t those the people complaining about how much the war is costing?? Why yes, I think they are.

Don’t worry, they’ll just raise our taxes to cover the cost of everything they are planning … plus their pet projects.

There is one Senator who has not taken a single penny … NOT ONE RED CENT … of our tax dollars for personal projects otherwise known as pork. You guessed it, Senator John McCain.

The new national hero, on the other hand, for not inserting one penny of pork barrel spending is the Republican Party’s presumptive nominee, Sen. John McCain of Arizona. As a longtime staunch opponent of such earmarks, McCain may be expected to raise the subject of such special spending if Clinton becomes his Democratic opponent in the fall’s general election.

He may also bring it up if his opponent is Illinois Sen. Barack Obama, who may be a freshman senator but still isn’t shy about inserting special earmarks into legislation cataloged by the taxpayer group’s annual report. He accounted for 53 special earmarks, totaling almost $97.4 million.

Interestingly, Ron Paul got a little pork himself even though he campaigned against it.

Rep. Ron Paul of Texas, who still technically is in the GOP race, has campaigned against large government seeping into the lives of American citizens. However, according to the Pig Book, that didn’t keep him from proposing eight pork-spending bills totaling $22 million, including nearly $4 million to alter a Galveston bridge.

Barack Obama got pretty testy with a guy who wanted to get a picture with him today. He accused the guy of just wanting the picture so he could sell it on Ebay. That may be true, but Barack’s reaction to the guy shows that Barack is having trouble keeping up his personable facade. It also so he’s got a temper.

Oh - Barack’s people came out and said that the guy wanted the photo to sell on Ebay AFTER the video of the exchange became public.

Whatever. You just KNOW that if this had been John McCain it would have been played every five minutes on the news with the introduction that its an example of how McCain can’t control his temper. In fact, this is an example of a much worse temper tantrum than the video they showed repeatedly of John McCain supposedly losing his temper.

The media really thinks we are stupid and that they can decide who will be president by bombarding us with their own spin on the candidates and the news. We only get to see the candidates as they really are periodically through little snippets like this.

Tsk, tsk Barack. Watch your temper or you might get a reputation for being out of control.

Puerto Rico governor, Obama supporter, indicted

Puerto Rican Gov. Anibal Acevedo Vila (D), who is a superdelegate supporting Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) for president, was indicted on 19 counts Thursday stemming from financial dealings in three political campaigns.

Acevedo reportedly denied the charges of illegal fundraising and election fraud, and The New York Times reported he will turn himself in to authorities.

The Obama campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Acevedo becomes the third Democratic governor in recent days to find himself in an unwelcome spotlight.

New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer (D), a supporter of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.), resigned earlier this month amid allegations that he was part of a prostitution ring.

Spitzer’s successor, Gov. David Paterson (D), acknowledged in interviews after taking office that he and his wife both engaged in extramarital affairs and that he used drugs in the past.

At this rate they are going to run out of superdelegates to make the nomination choice for the democrats. Unless, of course, they can cast their vote from the state pen???

Meet Dr John Fleming. He is a Conservative who is a candidate for a seat in Congress for Louisiana’s 4th Congressional district. With the resent difficulties the current Congress has had in getting anything accomplished, it will be a relief to have Congressmen serving who stand firm on his conservative values and traditions. I am interested in getting people serving in Congress who are more concerned with putting the best interest of our county first than with their own personal agendas. From the best I can tell, John Fleming is that kind of man.

John Fleming has been a family physician or 29 years. He lives and practices medicine in Louisiana. He is not a career politician but has certainly spent his life involved in the community, running his medical practice as well as other businesses and being involved in advisory positions with local and state officials. His stances on issues are represent the issues that are important to most Conservatives. He stands or controlling illegal immigration, cutting spending, lowering taxes, defeating terrorism, protecting the Right to Life and encouraging traditional values. If this is the kind of man you would like to see in Congress then consider voting for John Fleming for congress.

The Hip Hop Mayor of the Motor City Detroit Michigan Keeps getting caught in one scandel after another, why wont you guys just leave Kwame alone!! He’s a Human….

If you keep up with Detroit politics - or just read a Detroit newspaper once in a while - then you are aware of the scandal that is currently dominating the Detroit news. It has to do with Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and his lying under oath about using Detroit city funds and literally thousands of text messages to romance his Chief Of Staff Christine Beatty.

He has done what so many do when they get caught with their pants down (so to speak). He’s gone to a church to videotape a plea for the forgiveness of his constituents. Meanwhile, many of his constituents are not feeling particularly forgiving of their money being used to enhance the Mayor’s love life.

Kim Worthy, Wayne County Prosecutor, held a press conference today and with a flair of passion charged Kwame and his chief of staff/lover with 12 count felony complaint.

I don’t think the people of Detroit are upset about this and will probably be quite glad to have the thug out of office.

But there are a few that say LEAVE KWAME ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There’s a big hullabaloo today about Governor Bill Richardson’s endorsement of Barack Obama. The endorsement was hailed as an important endorsement. It is thought that it will bring Hispanics to feast at Obama’s political table and he will deliver New Mexico into the Obama camp. Everyone is just ecstatic about it. Best of all, the Obama people are hoping, hoping, hoping that this makes people forget that he has aligned himself with hate-filled, racists, anti-American bigots for pretty much all of his adult life. They are hoping it’ll turn that page.

I’m sure the Clinton’s have to be steaming over this endorsement. After all, they made Richardson’s career. He didn’t have a political career before the Clintons decided that he would be the token Hispanic in their Rainbow Coalition. Its been straight uphill from there for him. He now is presented as the only Hispanic governor in the country. Apparently, he forgot who buttered his bread. Never mind, its only business.

Another thing he hopes the country has forgotten is what occurred under his watch at the Clinton Administration’s Energy Secretary.

There is more bad news for besieged Energy Secretary Bill Richardson, already scrambling to deal with horrendous security lapses at the nation’s top nuclear-weapons lab and soaring gasoline prices that have American motorists up in arms. Now two government reports obtained by Insight detailing other security problems within the department have intensified calls for the secretary’s head and doubts about whether the security overhaul he promised in the wake of the Wen Ho Lee case in any way has reversed long-standing laxity in the way the nation’s most sensitive nuclear facilities are being run.

According to one report, officials in the Department of Energy, or DOE, and at New Mexico’s Los Alamos National Laboratory — where two computer hard drives containing top-secret bomb designs recently went missing under suspicious circumstances — altered reports and pressured members of an internal-security assessment task force to soft-pedal shortcomings identified in annual reviews of the lab’s nuclear safeguards.

A second report, also from DOE’s inspector general, or IG, raises the possibility that sensitive information from the department’s Savannah River complex in South Carolina, not properly erased from computer systems that were sold as surplus, may have gone to the People’s Republic of China, or PRC.

That’s that messy little business of Richardson letting nuclear bomb secrets somehow mysteriously disappear in the hands of the Chinese back in Y2000. It happened twice in 2000 and involved Wen Ho Lee, a Chinese national who took classified information out of the labs at Los Alamos. The media and Congress were calling for Richardson’s head and decrying his lackadaisical style of management, carelessness and incompetency for extremely serious breaches of national security. The problem is, that was in 2000. It happened before most Americans had an idea of just how serious breaches in national security would soon become.

That scandal got forgotten in the aftermath of 9/11 as did many of the other national security breaches and/or mismanagement issues connected to the Clinton administration and their proxies.

So now this man who so badly mismanaged national security in the years just prior to 9/11 is endorsing Barack Obama for President. That doesn’t make me feel a bit safer and it doesn’t make me forget the glimpse into Obama’s character that we’ve been treated to over the past couple of weeks. I don’t think I’d be looking quite so smug if I were Obama.
